Based upon some E-Mails I have received, and various people with whom I have spoken, it seems as if a larger and larger number of people feel like they, too, are just about to "give up" - as their "rope" is also "turning into threads"! It has been a total of about one full year plus about one month, if my memory serves me correctly, that I have been making the 9-Day Novenas to Saint Jude for J.'s intention for her Daughter.
But a delay is not a denial and God frequently tests each of us in this way to make our Faith, Trust, and Confidence in Him, as well as in Saint Jude, much stronger than ever!
God requires us to give Him no rest, to never give up praying for what we need! Why? Because, as Our Dear Lord explains to us: "the Kingdom of Heaven suffereth violence, and the violent bear it away" (Matthew 11:12).
What does this mean?
The "violence" means to assault Heaven with Masses and prayers, especially novena prayers.
Novenas, for example, are acts of a persistent Fortitude, which, when coupled with Faith/Belief, gets each of us the good things we need as the Scripture testifies: "And in all things whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive" (Matthew 21:22).
Such Fortitude/Faith/Belief is founded on Hope. All of us need to remember that each of us is saved by Hope because to those who love God, all things work together unto good: "For we are saved by Hope. But hope that is seen, is not hope. For what a man seeth, why doth he hope for? But if we Hope for that which we see not, we wait for it with Patience... And We know that to them that love God, all things work together unto good" (Romans 8:24-25, 28).
Finally, once people have received their Novena intention(s), just as you read in the above Testimonial where this Lady is sending a "thank you novena check" in gratitude to God and to Saint Jude so that her Novena of Thanksgiving to Saint Jude that I will be making for her will be found pleasing to God and to Saint Jude, so also in doing this the good God and Saint Jude will remember her gratitude so that in the future, when she has another intention for which I make Novenas for her, she can have total confidence that her Novena intention(s) will also be granted!
Consider, for example, when you give someone a gift, whether for Christmas or a birthday or whatever, don’t you like to be thanked by the person who receives the gift? It is an act of proper manners and etiquette to thank someone as an expression of gratitude. Not to do so is considered to be rude behavior and a lack of class and good manners.
So, then, promise to thank God and Saint Jude in advance, when you first submit your intention(s) for Masses and/or Novenas. God is very generous to those who are generous, including those who give God gratitude, along with whichever intercessor they have chosen, whether our Blessed Mother, Saint Jude, or another Holy Saint.
Those who fail to thank God and their intercessor for getting their intention(s) granted, should realize there is probably a good chance that they will either never get what they want, or it will take a much longer time to get it!?
I still remember back in 1971 when a Lady told me that she always gets everything she wants from Saint Jude because after Saint Jude grants her Novena intentions, she always makes sure to thank him with the same number of 9-day Novenas of thanksgiving as were 9-day Novenas of petition. She then publishes her Testimonials to Saint Jude.
By the way, it was because of her desire to have a public place to publish her Testimonials that, when the internet got up and running for most of us, I set up the Testimonials Page.
Before the days of the internet, I had set up a Testimonials board for her and all others in the Church by a statue of Saint Jude onto which they could publicly put their Testimonials to Saint Jude.
Over the years, she has told me, from time to time, how she has been doing this since about 1970 when she needed major surgery on her back. About half-way through her first 9-day Novena to Saint Jude to be healed, she was in fact healed! When the radiologist (the doctor who examines X-Rays) examined her "before" and "after" X-Rays and compared them, he was astounded at how she was totally healed and did not need the surgery!
She has also told me that no matter how many 9-day Novenas to Saint Jude are required before her intention(s) are granted - whether it is over the period of a few weeks or a few months (both of which tend to be the "usual" time period for simple things and from about six months to a full year for more difficult things, she never gives up - no matter how long it takes, and then she always has the same number of Novenas in gratitude.
But she has also told me that during both her 9-day Novenas of petition and her 9-day Novenas of thanksgiving, some of her other intentions, which she did not specifically mention, were frequently "automatically" granted! Obviously, God is not outdone in generosity!
So, IF you feel that your "rope" is "turning into threads", you might want to prayerfully consider and perhaps re-read the above wonderful Testimonial from "J" about never giving up, no matter how many Novenas it sometimes takes!!!
Please consider that just as a body-builder gets big, strong muscles by exercising every day, so also God has each of us "exercise" our "Spiritual muscles" to help to make us Spiritually strong by exercising the Gift of Fortitude and the Virtues of Humility, Meekness, and, above all, Patience - by which God finds each of us to be worthy of His many Blessings and will - in His time - grant our Novena intentions.
These are the lessons one finds when one reads the lives of various Saints, and the personal experiences of our contemporaries even today as found in their wonderful Testimonials because how True it is that "the Kingdom of Heaven suffereth violence, and the violent bear it away" (Matthew 11:12).
Congratulations to this Victor and to all other Victors whose Heroic Patience, Humility, Meekness and Fortitude purified them, making them worthy of having their Novena intention(s) granted!
This is how the real Spiritual Life "works" for Catholics and I wish other Priests and Prelates would explain these basic Truths to their Cathoic Faithful so that they, too, could also always be victors!
So, remember to "Pray without ceasing" and "in all things give thanks" (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18).
My special "Thank You" to J. for sharing such a great Testimonial of Hope, of Faith, Trust, and Confidence in God and in Saint Jude, and the fantastic example to everyone of us of her Fortitude, Humility, Meekness, and Patience! My your sterling example of never giving up be the lighthouse beacon light for all others who feel so overwhelmed and who, overcome by human nature, too often feel like giving up. Although the extreme amount of time it took in your case is unusual, it seems to me that now the good God has not only granted, through the powerful intercession of Saint Jude, your intentions for your Daughter so she could properly care for her Son and your Grandson, but also it seems that God will grant you and your family many other Blessings and favors!
The very fact that you write: "As always, you may print my public thank you and I always share and encourage prayers to St Jude" is itself a wonderful act of Charity and great kindness and concern for others who are themselves struggling as you have struggled during this time. God is never outdone in generosity and your willingness and desire to share your Testimonial with all others and to so openly "encourage prayers to St Jude" by others has earned for you great merit, not only in this life, but in the life to come! Thanks be to God and to Saint Jude!
For those of you reading her Testimonial, just remember how J. never gave up, despite the long time it took for her intentions to be answered!!! So, because she did do it, because her intentions were granted, understand the same can also be true for you, too! Yes, you also can do it!!! A note of thanks to you for your kind emails regarding my novenas. St. Jude is a powerful force in my life and my family. I am forever grateful for his intercession and my/our blessings!
Please find a check for a novena for my daughter who is unmarried and mothering a beautiful 5-month-old baby boy - an angel created in God's image. My daughter needs to seek quality employment that will provide for them. She lives in a rural area so the job pool is somewhat limited. She is educated and skilled and I pray St Jude will guide her to a good job with pay and benefits. Thank you for continuing the prayers upward with me! I ask God to continue to bless my daughter for choosing life for her beautiful baby boy.

Unfortunately, during the shipping process, most of the name and all of the address of this Lady was oblitered. So although I have not been able to send a personal "Thank You" to her because I do not have her name or address, I do want to publicly thank her with her really great Testimonial!
In the many, many years this web site has been on the internet during which time I have gotten many fantastic testimonials from people all over the world that Saint Jude has helped, this is the very first time anyone has donated a Statue of Saint Jude - and it is a very beautiful, large statue as well!!

Back in the late 1930's, Saint Jude miraculously and totally cured a niece of mine from polio! Since that time I have had great devotion to Saint Jude! Over the years, he has granted what were probably hundreds of my Novena intentions! During that time I have also seen Saint Jude help many other people, too!

Just a note to let you know that your novenas for my husband's job were successful. Not only has he kept his job but this job will be better for him! At his age, 67, it would have been almost impossible for him to find another. Thank you so much.

I am doing well and I have no complaints even though my doctors do - they are treating me for 21 different maladies - and my heart is pumping solely because of a pace maker. If that stops, I stop. Enclosed please find my “Thank You” Novenas to St. Jude and Our Lady of Mt Carmel. I continually ask St. Jude and Our Lady of Mt Carmel to protect my son, a Marine, serving his second tour in Iraq. Two weeks ago he was involved in an “incident”. St. Jude, Our Lady of Mt Carmel, and God had their hands on J...........'s shoulder. J........... and the other three Marines received minor injuries and they were spared their lives. I know God hears me thru my prayers and cries to St. Jude and Our Lady.
Another thank you as I have prayed for a clear medical report after two major tests. I am happy to report all tests were negative!!!
We await the birth of our first grandson. My daughter, who is unmarried, took a strong stance of choosing life for her first-born son. I pray God will look upon M......... and the baby by blessing the baby with good health. God will help my daughter provide for this child with love and support. St Jude has positioned the father of the child in their life and he appears to be a kind, hard working, good man who wants to be a good father. Please continue to pray for God to unveil his plan for my daughter.
Last, but not least, I ask St Jude to show my daughter's father and brother, (with whom she has been estranged because she chose to keep this baby rather than put it up for adoption) the light of love and bring them back into her life. She is hurting by their action of rejection. She and the baby need all the love and support they can receive.
Thank you and please continue prayers and thoughts upward.... God does continue to show me His light thru life's path when I trust and let Him lead!

I am writing to thank you for your ministry-also I am requesting a novena in thanksgiving to St. Jude.
I have been ill for almost a year with a severe heart condition that was not responding to treatment. The doctor ran a routine test the other day, to check the condition of my heart.
He called and said that my heart has made a "miraculous" [his words] recovery. Instead of continuing to deteriorate, it is now functioning better than it has in the last 6 years!
There are no words to describe how awesome this is!

I wish to say that praying to St. Jude works miracles. Also, I know you always email me to ask permission to publish the miracles that have happened to me and my family. You may publish anything that happens as a miracle. My daughter was not doing well in school until we began novenas and began to pray to St. Jude. Her grades have gone up significantly. Also, we thought my husband would lose his job and he did not. We have had so many miracles due to St. Jude, it is incredible!

I have found that such times are really not "tribulations", but blessings. For every trial brings me closer to God. I receive many gifts-a deeper faith, more trust in God, humility, obedience, a stronger prayer life, and an ever deeper love of Mary, the Holy Trinity, and all of the saints, and angels who intercede for us.

I pray St. Jude intercede into the life of my daughter. Unmarried and pregnant, she has chosen life for her baby. This angel will join our world in June. I pray St. Jude guides and will help her to provide, care and support this child. I ask God to please look favorably upon her for her choice of life and bless her with a healthy baby, ten fingers, ten toes, all senses.
My Marine son heads back to Iraq in April for a second tour. My Army son may be headed to the Middle East in May. I pray Our Lady of Mt Carmel again place her mantle of protection around my boys and all our military. We ask for protection.

This is a double "miracle" because he had been unjustly fired from his job at this company. But, after your Novenas for him, he was re-hired, something this company had never before done - this was truly a miracle.
What happened was he had two managers who were aware of the way he was unjustly let go. Both were determined to intervene on his behalf and pressured the powers to be to get him back his job. They succeeded! Thanks again to Our Blessed Mother (Our Lady of Good Remedy) and to Saint Jude!

A few months ago I was living a very toxic situation that involved some abuse, and an unhealthy living situation. I also have a very serious heart/lung condition and the doctors were telling me that the medical plan was "to keep me comfortable". Mixed with all of that, I have a very limited income.
I started praying to Saint Jude, and it was not long before my health started to improve. Then I was able to move to an apartment that I could afford, in a neighborhood that is fantastic. I had friends come out of the woodwork, and furnish my apartment with everything with everything from soup to nuts--and very beautiful things, at that.
My son came back into my life, after years of being estranged. I am also back going to church after a thirty year absence.
I can only attribute all of this to the Hand of God--and the help that I have received from St Jude!

I sent you a Stipend a while back for my Mom. Well, she was in the hospital for the same old problems. The doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong at all!
Well, like I said, I sent you that check to say a Novena [to Saint Jude] and since then she seems to be getting better! No pains, no vomiting, no nothing! And, it seems like she can eat again, too!

I wanted to update you on my aunt's progress. Once the 2 novenas for her started, she made amazing progress!!! When the novenas started, she was not responding at all. We couldn't even get her to open her eyes.
Then about 2 days later, she woke up, but was extremely disoriented. But by about 1 week later, she was awake and alert, and aware of what was going on. She made amazing progress in those next few weeks. She got off of the feeding tube, and the blood clots in her lungs dissolved.
After about a 4-5 week stay, she was able to go home. She still cannot walk, and probably won't for a few months yet, but I believe St. Jude had much to do with the progess she is making.
I think he may also have had a hand in the community helping them out. Their neighbors donated supplies and labor to build a wheel chair lift so that she could stay at home instead of a nursing home during her recovery, and we are having a large auction for them the end of July to help alleviate some medical bills.
My aunt is very upbeat, and says she owes everything to prayer and family.
I will be sending in a novena thank you soon, and also a separate novena thank you (I prayed to St. Jude to help us sell our home....and we sold it in a week!!!) I continue to believe in the power of prayer and St. Jude!!!

My Mother was diagnosed with 4th stage lymphoma in May of 2004. She had been treated for the same thing 11 years ago, so she couldn't use the same treatments a second time. It didn't look good and everything they did were new treatments and experimental.
I sent in for the 9 day novenas to start when she would begin each new treatment She wasn't sick at all from the chemo and didn't have any of the critical reactions she could have had from the experimental drugs. As of April 2005 a complete body scan showed she is in complete remission.
Thank you St Jude!!! Thank You, Thank you!!! St Jude helped me 15 years ago when I was very ill and many times in between.

My husband and I are getting on in years, and have had much financial trouble in the past. Both of us have had major illnesses that have also complicated our lives.
We suddenly realized that at the rate the economy is going, we would soon be unable to afford to rent a home. Since we had a failed business in the past, our credit rating was not good, so buying a home seemed out of the question.
I told my husband I was going to petition St. Jude to interceed for us, to allow us a second chance.
The very next month, the government called to say they had forgiven a tax debt we had been trying to pay off for the past decade. They cleared a lien from our credit history.
My husband saw a tiny little house at the edge of town. We went to see it, and put in a bid. To our amazement, the bank gave the go-ahead, and we found ourselves homeowners.
We're now living in a house that is incredibly affordable. It is very tiny, just right for us. My husband's health is improving, and while mine is not, my outlook on life, has taken a definite turn for the better. I may be in poor health, but I have regained hope and my faith has been renewed, and that is more important. I believe it is directly due to St. Jude's intercession and petition to Our Lord, to help my husband and I.

My son needed more hours at work. Thank you for offering a Mass and making a Novena to Saint Jude for my intentions.
Not only was he just rescheduled from seven hours to forty hours per week, but he also was offered as many hours as he wants at his old job!
But it gets even better!
Yesterday, Saturday, he received a phone call from the manager of a large company who wants him to begin work for him as soon as possible! The hours are much better, the pay is way better, plus all of the fringe benefits, this is the kind of work he really enjoys doing-this is his "dream job"! So next Monday, when he restarts is his old, he will be giving his two weeks' notice and has already done so at the place where he was just rescheduled to work 40 hours!

Recently we have been trying to struggle through a severe financial crisis. Things were so bad that we weren't sure if we would have money for Christmas presents or to pay the bills. I had to write to tell you something new. Recently, I had written in regarding how the novena to St. Jude resulted in a correct medical diagnosis after YEARS of confusion. Well, I am just completing the ninth day of a novena for my hair. Yes, hair. I was involved in a car accident last December. A week later, I was sitting with my mother preparing Christmas Eve dinner when she looked at me and said, "You're shedding!" The black shirt I was wearing was covered with hair. I was losing hundreds of hairs a day, especially when I washed my hair. It may sound vain, but when a 29-year old female begins losing hair, or any age female for that matter, she will do almost anything to make it stop, especially in our image-conscious society. The doctors just kept telling me, "It will stop." I tried visiting a few hair loss websites, but usually ended up more stressed and upset than before. Thinking about my hair consumed every minute of every day.
Today, I was finally able to get back online and look at some relevant sites that gave me truly helpful information on a condition, temporary and reversible, called telogen effluvium - often caused by extreme stress and physical trauma. It's not a quick fix, but I feel hopeful now that the situation will improve. Things look much better than I had previously feared. Once again, St. Jude has powerfully intervened on my behalf, and I wanted to let everyone know as soon as I could. He is my truly powerful patron.

Thank you for making the Novena to Saint Jude for my daughter. She has improved out of sight and from desperation last Saturday, she was released from hospital this Thursday.
We cannot believe it! She is so much better! We had an old retired Indian Doctor working at the hospital on the weekend and when our daughter started to go bad, he got involved. He was a Godsend!
He told me when I met him on Sunday morning (the very same day that you began making the Novena to Saint Jude for my daughter) that he would have her out within the week. He took over and she is!

Recently I returned from an overseas mission as a U.N. Peacekeeper. I had to quit my job of 24 years to do this. I was given the understanding that upon my return they would have a place for me to return to.
Well upon my return the Agency had downsized and the Administration had failed to keep their word to me. As a result I was out of work and needed a job. I started to find it difficult to return to my former line of work due to my age. Departments like to hire younger people.
I sent you a Nine Day Novena for St. Jude. On the third day of the Novena, I received two offers of employment from Agencies with two more in the offing. I have taken employment with another State, and the future is very promising with them.
I continue to ask St. Jude for assistance as I still need help with this new adventure. I believe without St. Jude's help and his special favor which he holds with our Lord God this would not have been possible.

Hello thank you for all my newsletters. Last month or so I wrote to you to ask St. Jude to help my family and I pray for my brother in law who was having a very hard time finding employment here and he was already getting deepressed because no places where he applied was just not hiring. Anyway finally he was called for a job called rain maker, its a place where they do landscaping at different business and he loves his job and he is so happy. So I want to thank St. Jude again for praying for him St. Jude never lets me down he is a true amazing saint.

How are you today?
I don't know where to start. I am just stunned and amazed! I sent you a check as a stipend a couple weeks ago to be able to take part in the St. Jude Novena, remember? Mine was for a special thank you for several special intentions regarding my Mom and my Sister.
I also included myself for special intentions. Well, I know that sometimes when you say this Novena Prayer awesome things happen! Well, here it goes! I went to broadcasting school to be a radio dejay. But, it seamed that no matter what I did I could not get a job in radio. To say that I was upset and depressed was an understatement. Anyway, I put my application in at one particular station about a year ago. Not having heard from them, I put it out of my mind and thought no more about it until 2 days ago when I got a call from them! They still had my name on file and they called me because they wanted me to come in for a interview. I know St. Jude had a hand in it!
I just want to say, now more then ever, thank you! If it had not been for that Novena you did for me, I'm sure it would not have happened. I am just stunned! It just seams so amazing! Who would ever think it could happen?! I just don't know what to say except "Thank you, St. Jude"! I know it doesn't seem like enough, but it's all I know how to do. Thank you so very much. You are a good friend!

I wanted to send you a testimonial about the power of prayer, especially the power of praying to St. Jude. About 3 years ago, my husband and I wanted to have a baby. We knew we would have difficulties conceiving, because I have polycystic ovarian syndrome (which means I do not ovulate, and therefore can not get pregnant). In the process of trying to conceive, we also found out that my husband had some fertility issues as well. Not wanting to take any "drastic steps" to get pregnant, we tried our only option, which was an oral fertility medication that induces ovulation in some women with the same illness I have. We weren't overly optimistic, however, because several of my aunts have the same syndrome, and the medication did not work for them. But, we gave it a try. And then, remembering what my grandmother always taught me about the power of praying to saints, my husband and I prayed daily novenas to St. Jude. The doctor didn't think we would be able to get pregnant.!
.....but after 2 short months of taking the medication to help me ovulate, I became pregnant! I believe in my heart that it was truly a favor granted by St. Jude! Nine months later, we were blessed with a little boy, more healthy, happy, and intelligent than we ever dreamed possible! He is truly a gift from heaven! Now as my son is 2 1/2, my husband and I have been trying for 6 months to conceive another child, still battling our infertility problems. Unfortunately, it is not happening as quickly this time. We are still praying to St. Jude, hoping that he can grant us one more miracle, so that our son may know the love of Christ through the love of a sibling. Please keep us in your prayers. We are keeping the faith that St. Jude will bless us and our son soon! We will be sending in a request for a Novena to you soon!

I am the lady with the husband with the biopsies that were repeated and turned out negative. I wanted to let you know that the first 3 month follow up for the blood test and the physical exam were very encouraging, there in no evidence active cancer. Just to think that he was going to have surgery!

My husband had a Biopsy of the Prostate that was positive. The doctor offer surgery or Radiation. We are very devouted of St Jude.We went for a second opinion and the new doctor took multiple biopsies and they came back negative.
The new doctor is the Chairman at the University of Miami. His approach is to do nothing, and just watch my husband every six month because of the first biopsy and strong family history of the disease.
Thank You St Jude, our prayers were answered again. Thanks much for making the Novena.
