I have been sending my Stipend to you for the last 3 months for Novenas to St. Jude.  My prayer intention has been to have our second home in Hawaii refinanced.  St Jude has answered my prayers.

1.  ........ Bank offered us a program that qualified us for refinance for 30 years fixed.

2.  The bank also offered to refinance our first home in California for an even lower rate.    Both our homes were approved for refinance.
 
3.  Also, my employer has been doing a lot downsizing.  I have been worried that I may lose my job.  But, ever since I started sending you Stipends for the 9-Day Novenas to St. Jude, my dept got real busy and lots of work keeps coming in.

Thanks to St Jude for answering my prayers.

This past year my family and I have been so blessed by your help and prayers and masses that I cannot thank you enough. Many events in my family's life would not have transpired without intercession...  A fellow teacher was fired this year because of his actions as a teacher.  I was very afraid that this [being fired] was going to happen to me as well.

The intercession of St. Jude came to defend me.  In addition, my Daughter, who did not have the absoute best grades in her college class was able to get a coop at a paper mill.  Some of her classmates were not as lucky.  You have also helped her with [Novena] prayers for her grades in classes as well.

There have been several times when we thought my Husband would get laid-off and your [Novena] prayers came through.

My Daughter was involved with a gentleman with very low morals and values.  With God's help, she broke up with him as well.

I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for you and your work.  I am certain you will have a great reward in Heaven.

I realize that many of your readers are a little young to remember this great comedian.  Danny Thomas is the gentleman who started St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.  You may already know this, but he started this hospital as a thank you to St. Jude for helping him in his career.

His prayers and Novenas to St. Jude were answered and he became an internationally known comedian back in the 50's and 60's.  I became aware of the power of St. Jude through the story of this great humanitarian.  So, it seems that each person's success in their devotion to St. Jude helps bring others to God through St. Jude....

How Saint Jude Helped Danny Thomas Become a Star!

d. at Los Angeles, California on Wednesday, February 6, 1991]

Danny Thomas was born Amos Alphonsus Muzyad Yakhoob during a blizzard in Deerfield,  Michigan on Saturday, January 6, 1912 and died at the age of 79 at Los Angeles, California on Wednesday, February 6, 1991 of a heart attack.  His funeral was at the Church of the Good Shepherd. He had just completed filming a commercial for St. Jude Hospital a few days before his death.  This final commercial aired as a tribute to him.  Danny Thomas and his Wife Rose Marie Mantell Thomas, who died in 2000, are interred in a crypt in a mausoleum on the grounds of the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a posthumous recipient of the 2004 Bob Hope Humanitarian Award.

Danny Thomas was one of nine children born to immigrant parents from Lebanon, Charles and Margaret Yakhoob (Jacobs).  He was raised in Toledo, Ohio and attended St. Francis De Sales Roman Catholic Church, Woodward High School, and The University of Toledo.

When he was ten years old, he began selling newspapers to help support his family.  When he was eleven years old, he landed a had a job that lasted for seven years as a candy maker in a burlesque theater.  The money he saved from his later bus boy job, punch-press operator's assistant, and a lumber yard watchman was used to buy several pairs of shoes, plus a couple of suits, so that he could look for a show business job in Detroit, Michigan.

He landed a job in Detroit where he performed as a singer on “The Happy Hour Club” radio program, using his Anglicized birth name, Amos Jacobs.

This same show also included Rose Marie Mantell, who was born Rose Marie Cassaniti, a  pretty, dark-haired Italian girl.  For three years he escorted her home by streetcar before he proposed marriage to her.

Danny Thomas married Rose Marie Mantell [born Rose Marie Cassaniti, on Friday, March 6,1914 - d. at Beverly Hills, California on Wednesday, July 12, 2000] on Wednesday, January 15, 1936, a week after his 24th birthday.

When Rose Marie was about to give birth to their first child, Margaret Julia, a.k.a. Marlo - who was born on Sunday, November 21, 1937 - the couple was leading a precarious life.  Although Danny was desperately trying to firmly establish himself as a professional entertainer, yet he was torn between his dedication to his work on the one hand and his responsibility to his Wife and their soon to be new baby Daughter. His financial situation was not the best because he was averaging only about $45 a week doing some radio and nightclub work in Detroit.

A Miracle by Saint Jude?

But there was a faint glimmer of Hope!  Danny remembered how a stagehand in Detroit had  told Danny that he and his Wife thought that she had been Blessed with a miracle - because she had been completely healed - cured - from cancer! - as the result of praying to Saint Jude Thaddeus!

Now it was the “starving  actor” - Danny Thomas’ turn to pray to Saint Jude!  He knelt before a statue of St. Jude, the patron saint of difficult, hopeless, and impossible cases, begging for his guidance - should he, or should he not, continue to stay in show business?  Danny was asking Saint Jude for his intercession “to show me my way in life.”

Danny also prayed to Saint Jude for strength to succeed in his whatever his profession would be and promised Saint Jude that he would “do something big” in the name of Saint Jude if Saint Jude would obtain, through his intercession, a measure of economic security for himself and his family.

Then, as if overcome by a great feeling of Hope, spontaneously, Danny promised to build a shrine to Saint Jude if the Saint of the Impossible would show Danny which path to take to ensure the much-needed economic security which Danny was seeking from Saint Jude.

Climbing the Ladder of Success

Before long he traveled to Chicago, where he landed a $50-a-week job doing radio commercials.  Shortly thereafter, talent agent Leo Salkin booked him into the 5100 Club on the city’s north side for $75 a week. It was at this time that he changed his name from Amos Jacobs to his new stage name of Danny Thomas - the first names of two of his brothers.

In less than a year, Danny Thomas became a nightclub sensation, earning $500 a week at the 5100 Club in Chicago and drawing customers from all over the city of Chicago to listen to his outrageously funny stories, which he told in different dialects while skillfully poking fun at human egotism and mental numbness.

You should find it interesting to note that, despite his rapier wit, which - by perfect timing - had his audience laughing uproariously, Danny never once resorted to the use of vulgarity of any kind - his humor was always “clean” humor.

Danny’s lengthy shows on Saturday nights ran far into the wee morning hours.  After the show was over, Danny would be found at the 6 a.m. Mass at Saint Clement Church before going home to his Wife and family.

While basking in his success in Chicago, he had somehow totally forgotten about his earlier prayers and promises to Saint Jude. So, while he was renewing his devotion to Saint Jude, he was thinking about how to show gratitude to Saint Jude for his prayers being answered and his success thus far.

At about this time in his life, Abe Lastfogel, head of the William Morris Agency, took over as Danny’s personal manager.  It was only a few weeks later when his life took another turn.  His new agent persuaded him to take his comedy routine to New York City, where he was booked into the Club Martinique. From that point on, he moved into the entertainment world’s big time.   After USO tours in both Europe and the Pacific, he was engaged to perform at New York’s Roxy Theater at $3,750 a week.

Danny Thomas began to reach large audiences on network radio in the 1940’s, most notably playing the shifty brother-in-law Amos in “The Bickersons”, which began as sketches on the half-hour music-comedy show “Drene Time”, which was co-hosted by Don Ameche and Frances Langford. Danny also portrayed himself as a slightly scatterbrained “Lothario” on this same show.

His other network radio work included a stint as “Jerry Dingle” the postman on Fanny Brice’s very popular “The Baby Snooks Show”, and periodic appearances on the legendary NBC variety program, “The Big Show” which was hosted by stage legend Tallulah Bankhead.

Making it Big Time!

Danny Thomas moved from being a nightclub entertainer to one of the hosts of NBC’s “All Star Revue” in the early days of television.  He went on to become one of the best-loved entertainers of his time, starring in shows in New York and Chicago, plus Hollywood movies where he starred in the 1951 film biography “I’ll See You in My Dreams” in which he played songwriter Gus Kahn opposite Doris Day, and also in “The Jazz Singer” which was a 1952 remake of the 1927 original.

In March 1953, Danny Thomas first signed the contract for the “Make Room For Daddy” show with ABC and chose Desilu Studios to film it using its three-camera method.  At first there were two proposed titles during pre-production: 1) “The Children’s Hour”; and, 2) “Here Comes Daddy”.

The final name was “Make Room For Daddy”,  which grew into one of the most successful, honored, and popular family comedies of the 1950’s and 1960’s and in television history.  It ran from 1953 to1957 on ABC and from 1957 to 1964 on CBS. A revival series known as “Make Room for Granddaddy” aired on ABC from 1970 to 1971.

The “Make Room For Daddy” series, which was actually based on 14 years of Danny’s own personal life, depicted the comedian as an entertainer whose main problem was spending as much time as possible with his family.

N.B.:  On Thursday, November 6, 1952 Warner Brothers released a movie in which Sherry Jackson played the part of Jacinta Marto, one of the three visionaries of Fatima in 1917. The title of this movie is: "The Miracle of Our Lady of Fatima". Perhaps you have seen it?

On the series of “Make Room For Daddy”, Danny Thomas played Danny Williams. The character Danny Williams was a successful nightclub entertainer and comedian. Jean Hagen (later Marjorie Lord), played his Wife Margaret; Sherry Jackson played their daughter Terry and Rusty Hamer played their son Rusty. Louise Beavers played the maid.

During its second season, “Make Room for Daddy” placed #2 in the Neilson Ratings. For its nine seasons, the series would never dip below  #8. The Danny Williams character on “Make Room for Daddy” was also ranked #5 in TV Guide’s list of the “50 Greatest TV Dads of All Time”.

Meanwhile, in 1955, Danny Thomas won an Emmy for Best Actor in a Regular Series. He was also nominated for an Emmy for Best Written Comedy Material. During the series run Danny Thomas was also nominated for Primetime Emmy Awards three times in 1956, 1958 and 1959.

The series won many awards, including five Emmys.  After 11 seasons, and with his show still among the top 10 in ratings, Danny voluntarily ended the series.

During his successful run on “Make Room for Daddy”, which was later known as “The Danny Thomas Show”, Danny Thomas became a successful television producer.  Sheldon Leonard and Aaron Spelling were among the business partners of his production company.

His production company was also responsible for television shows such as “The Dick Van Dyke Show”, “The Andy Griffith Show”, and “The Mod Squad”.   He also produced three series for Walter Brennan: 1) “The Real McCoys”; 2) “The Tycoon”;  and, 3) “The Guns of Will Sonnett”, all on ABC during the late 1950’s and 1960’s.

In addition, Danny Thomas often appeared in cameos on shows he produced, perhaps the most memorable being his portrayal of the tuxedoed, humourlessly droll alien “Colac”, lord of the planet Twylo, in the classic “Dick Van Dyke Show” science-fiction spoof: “It May Look Like a Walnut”.

Danny Thomas was one of the original owners of the Miami Dolphins, along with Joe Robbie, although he sold his share soon after the purchase. He was also an avid golfer. He claimed a ten golf handicap and once competed with Sam Snead in a charity event. He  developed a close relationship with the PGA Tour and two of their tournaments bore his name. The first was the “Danny Thomas-Diplomat Classic” which played in south Florida in 1969 followed by the “Danny Thomas Memphis Classic” which played from 1970 to1984.

His children are also performers.

The most famous of his three Children is his Daughter,  Marlo, a.k.a. Margaret Julia Thomas [b. Sunday, November 21, 1937 - present], who is married to Phil Donahue.

His son, Tony Thomas, a.k.a. Charles Anthony Thomas [b. Sunday, December 7, 1947 - present], is a television producer.

His Daughter, Terre Thomas, [b. Monday, November 9, 1942 - present], is a former actress.

Saint Jude’s Research Hospital

Throughout his successes, Danny Thomas never forgot his promise to Saint  Jude. Danny told his close friend and mentor, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Chicago, Samuel Cardinal Stritch, about his pledge to build a shrine to Saint Jude.  During their conversation, an idea began to take shape. The “shrine” would be a hospital for needy children, a place where they would be cared for regardless of race, religion or ability to pay - a hospital where no suffering child would be turned away.

Never one to stand back and let others do the work, Danny gave of himself wholeheartedly in the effort to realize his dream, contributing his talents, time, and money. From Danny’s pledge that hospital care would be accessible to all children, regardless of their ability to pay, grew ALSAC®,  the national fund-raising organization established by Danny Thomas for the express purpose of funding Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which became one of the most successful fund-raising organizations in American history.

Saint Jude’s Research Hospital opened in 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee.

In 1996, Peter Doherty, Ph.D., of Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, was corecipient of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his work related to how the immune system kills virus-infected cells.

Honors

A devout Roman Catholic, Danny Thomas was awarded a papal knighthood by Pope Paul VI. He was named a Knight Commander of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre in recognition of his services to both the church and the community.

Danny Thomas and his Wife, Rose Marie Mantell (born Rose Marie Cassaniti), were arguably America’s most famous Roman Catholic couple.  “The Daily Catholic” placed him 86 on the list of top 100 Catholics.

President Ronald Reagan presented Danny Thomas with a Congressional Gold Medal honoring him for his work with Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

You know the old saying - it helps to have friends?  Well it's very much true; even more so when your talking about a guy like Saint Jude.  I sent you several Stipends for Novenas to Saint Jude for my Mom who has been real sick these last few months.  It's a wonder she even made it to Mass on Christmas Eve.

Well, a few days ago, she got to go see a different doctor,  and well, she got a surgery she needed badly.  Now she is very much improved and recovering nicely.

I have been blessed to find your site in the past.  And it was here that I truly learned how to pray the St. Jude Novena.  I must tell you of the EXCITING and PROFOUND Blessings I have received during my Novena to St. Jude.

I am disabled and my husband is very sick also.......................... we lost our home, cars, and sold off all of our personal possessions due to these financial difficulties................. The Novenas to Saint Jude were answered asking God to please grant me a job near where I am living now so ........................ that I can help pay back what we owe to family members and old bills from before we lost our house.

Today I was blessed with a job less than 5 miles from my Mother's house!  I have not worked in 6 years and I am so very grateful to St. Jude for helping me!

Other miracles that have happened................................... the amazing way the money just appeared to pay for my medication, to help my son pay for his rent, to buy groceries for my family, to allow me to have a huge bill paid for me which allows me to stay in touch with my children and husband.

Dear Father Michael,

My husband and I are getting on in years, and have had much financial trouble in the past. Both of us have had major illnesses that have also complicated our lives.

We suddenly realized that at the rate the economy is going, we would soon be unable to afford to rent a home.  Since we had a failed business in the past, our credit rating was not good, so buying a home seemed out of the question.

I told my husband I was going to petition St. Jude to interceed for us, to allow us a second chance.

The very next month, the government called to say they had forgiven a tax debt we had been trying to pay off for the past decade.  They cleared a lien from our credit history.

My husband saw a tiny little house at the edge of town.  We went to see it, and put in a bid.  To our amazement, the bank gave the go-ahead, and we found ourselves homeowners.

We're now living in a house that is incredibly affordable.  It is very tiny, just right for us. My husband's health is improving, and while mine is not, my outlook on life, has taken a definite turn for the better.  I may be in poor health, but I have regained hope and my faith has been renewed, and that is more important.  I believe it is directly due to St. Jude's intercession and petition to Our Lord, to help my husband and I.

My son needed more hours at work.  Thank you for offering a Mass and making a Novena to Saint Jude for my intentions.

Not only was he just rescheduled from seven hours to forty hours per week, but he also was offered as many hours as he wants at his old job!

But it gets even better!

Yesterday, Saturday, he received a phone call from the manager of a large company who wants him to begin work for him as soon as possible!  The hours are much better, the pay is way better, plus all of the fringe benefits, this is the kind of work he really enjoys doing-this is his "dream job"!  So next Monday, when he restarts is his old, he will be giving his two weeks' notice and has already done so at the place where he was just rescheduled to work 40 hours!

Thank you so very much and many thanks to God, Our Lady and to Saint Jude-he really came through in a most difficult financial situation for us!

I had to write to tell you something new.  Recently, I had written in regarding how the novena to St. Jude resulted in a correct medical diagnosis after YEARS of confusion. Well, I am just completing the ninth day of a novena for my hair.  Yes, hair.  I was involved in a car accident last December.  A week later, I was sitting with my mother preparing Christmas Eve dinner when she looked at me and said, "You're shedding!"  The black shirt I was wearing was covered with hair. I was losing hundreds of hairs a day, especially when I washed my hair.  It may sound vain, but when a 29-year old female begins losing hair, or any age female for that matter, she will do almost anything to make it stop, especially in our image-conscious society.  The doctors just kept telling me, "It will stop."  I tried visiting a few hair loss websites, but usually ended up more stressed and upset than before.  Thinking about my hair consumed every minute of every day.

Today, I was finally able to get back online and look at some relevant sites that gave me truly helpful information on a condition, temporary and reversible, called telogen effluvium  - often caused by extreme stress and physical trauma.  It's not a quick fix, but I feel hopeful now that the situation will improve.  Things look much better than I had previously feared.  Once again, St. Jude has powerfully intervened on my behalf, and I wanted to let everyone know as soon as I could.  He is my truly powerful patron.

Dear Father Michael,

Recently I returned from an overseas mission as a U.N. Peacekeeper. I had to quit my job of 24 years to do this. I was given the understanding that upon my return they would have a place for me to return to.

Well upon my return the Agency had downsized and the Administration had failed to keep their word to me. As a result I was out of work and needed a job. I started to find it difficult to return to my former line of work due to my age. Departments like to hire younger people.

I sent you a Nine Day Novena for St. Jude. On the third day of the Novena, I received two offers of employment from Agencies with two more in the offing. I have taken employment with another State, and the future is very promising with them.

I continue to ask St. Jude for assistance as I still need help with this new adventure. I believe without St. Jude's help and his special favor which he holds with our Lord God this would not have been possible.

How are you today?

I don't know where to start.  I am just stunned and amazed!  I sent you a check as a stipend a couple weeks ago to be able to take part in the St. Jude Novena, remember?  Mine was for a special thank you for several special intentions regarding my Mom and my Sister.

I also included myself for special intentions.  Well, I know that sometimes when you say this Novena Prayer awesome things happen!  Well, here it goes!  I went to broadcasting school to be a radio dejay.  But, it seamed that no matter what I did I could not get a job in radio.  To say that I was upset and depressed was an understatement.  Anyway, I put my application in at one particular station about a year ago.  Not having heard from them, I put it out of my mind and thought no more about it until 2 days ago when I got a call from them!  They still had my name on file and they called me because they wanted me to come in for a interview.  I know St. Jude had a hand in it!

I just want to say, now more then ever, thank you!  If it had not been for that Novena you did for me, I'm sure it would not have happened.  I am just stunned!  It just seams so amazing!  Who would ever think it could happen?!  I just don't know what to say except "Thank you, St. Jude"!  I know it doesn't seem like enough, but it's all I know how to do.  Thank you so very much.  You are a good friend!

Dear Father Michael,

I wanted to send you a testimonial about the power of prayer, especially the power of praying to St. Jude.  About 3 years ago, my husband and I wanted to have a baby.  We knew we would have difficulties conceiving, because I have polycystic ovarian syndrome (which means I do not ovulate, and therefore can not get pregnant).  In the process of trying to conceive, we also found out that my husband had some fertility issues as well.  Not wanting to take any "drastic steps" to get pregnant, we tried our only option, which was an oral fertility medication that induces ovulation in some women with the same illness I have.  We weren't overly optimistic, however, because several of my aunts have the same syndrome, and the medication did not work for them.  But, we gave it a try.  And then, remembering what my grandmother always taught me about the power of praying to saints, my husband and I prayed daily novenas to St. Jude.  The doctor didn't think we would be able to get pregnant.!

.....but after 2 short months of taking the medication to help me ovulate, I became pregnant! I believe in my heart that it was truly a favor granted by St. Jude!  Nine months later, we were blessed with a little boy, more healthy, happy, and intelligent than we ever dreamed possible!  He is truly a gift from heaven!  Now as my son is 2 1/2, my husband and I have been trying for 6 months to conceive another child, still battling our infertility problems. Unfortunately, it is not happening as quickly this time.  We are still praying to St. Jude, hoping that he can grant us one more miracle, so that our son may know the love of Christ through the love of a sibling.  Please keep us in your prayers.  We are keeping the faith that St. Jude will bless us and our son soon!  We will be sending in a request for a Novena to you soon!

My husband had a Biopsy of the Prostate that was positive. The doctor offer surgery or Radiation. We are very devouted of St Jude.We went for a second opinion and the new doctor took multiple biopsies and they came back negative.

The new doctor is the Chairman at the University of Miami. His approach is to do nothing, and just watch my husband every six month because of the first biopsy and strong family history of the disease.

Thank you for so graciously and kindly printing my last testimony to the power of Saint Jude!  I must update you on the latest of miracles Saint Jude brought forth through his prayers for me to Our Lord God, and Our Savior Jesus Christ!

Since I  last wrote about my oldest son getting a job, the time had come due for our medical insurance and car insurance premiums to be paid.( Because my husband does not have a job right now, we are having to pay the very expensive COBRA insurance and because my youngest son works, and drives but is only 16, the auto insurance cost had more than doubled.)  There was no way we would have the money in time!  I prayed very hard for Saint Jude to pray that a miracle be sent as I had no idea what else to do!

SAINT JUDE provided that miracle through his prayers to God and Jesus Christ, and a MIRACLE DID HAPPEN!  Out of nowhere, on the day before these payments were due, my best friend told me of a man who may want to buy a van that we had.  (We had previously not had any responses to our attempts to sell this Van!)!  IN the course of just a few hours, we met with my friend who took us to this man, who bought our van and Paid us in Cash THAT DAY!

I am amazed and so very humbled at the power of Saint Jude and the grace and mercy shown to me by God Almighty and Jesus Christ through Saint Jude's Prayers for me!  I am no longer skeptical and my  heart has no reason to be heavy any longer!  I know I will never be alone anymore!  (I didn't realize that I never really was alone, until now!)

This is my first time ever requesting a novena to Saint Jude.  (I am not catholic, but my mother was born and raised catholic and opened my eyes as a young girl to this religion.  My father was not catholic and was in military, so we were exposed to many different religions:)

My Husband and oldest son have both been out of work.  My husband has been very depressed and it has gotten worse and worse as the months have passed.  This past week he received his last unemployment check and  it appears he is unable to receive the emergency benefits due to applying two days too soon.  Anyway, I started my novena to Saint Jude only three days ago (this is day four).  I prayed according to the prayers on this site, but I must admit to having a heavy and skeptical heart.  I have been praying for my husband and my oldest son to get a job to help us out of the severe financial situation we are in right now. I have a disability and this is the only income we have right now. Plus my oldest son just completed his first year of college and although he is an honors student, he had a very terrible second semester which has caused him to have to take summer school. We have no money for this nor can he get a loan or scholarship at this time we have been told!

My first miracles came yesterday!  A letter came in the mail to my son regarding summer work opportunity.  He called the number, went for the interview and got the job!  He is only 18 years old and there were 25 other applicants, some with completed degrees!

Not only this, but the pay is twice what anyone he knows is making!  And the job has flexible hours so that he may continue college AND they are even willing to transfer him to work in the town where he goes to college once summer is over!!! They also have a college scholarship program!  Incredible Blessings!  Thank You with All My Heart Saint Jude!

I am still praying for my husband to get a job with medical benefits so that we no longer have to pay the very expensive COBRA insurance we must have due to my disability. I am also praying hard that God's Will will be done regarding the shambles my marriage is in.  (My husband and I will be married 20 years in July, but are barely hanging on)!  I know that I am only three days into this Novena but I had to share this incredible Grace and miracles that have been given to me!

Thank you Saint Jude!  Glory be to God the Father, and Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Forever!  Thank You again and again Saint Jude!  You are truly amazing!

2 parts of a 3 part novena request I made to St. Jude were answered during the time of your solemn novena to St. Jude.

1. My husband has ended his relationship with another woman and committed himself to our marriage. We are in counseling and he is committed to gaining my back my trust in him.

2. My husband has realized that his discomfort with the Church was not caused by the Church, but by his own actions over several years (cognitive disassociation). He is now going to Mass.

I am halfway through my novena. here is what I am and have prayed for : I have a very cruel landlord whom I pay promptly every month but he still harasses me on the phone and comes to bother me at the apartment. I prayed to St. Jude and the situation was permenantly handled, also with help from my father's phone call! :)

I prayed that my husband and I would be lead to a solution, whatever God's will. We separated a year ago and he thought the marriage was over and started seeing someone else. He is 26, she told him she was 22. She was only 17 (although she looks 30!). Through prayer, my husband put this entire relationship behind him and wants to regain our trust and rebuild this marriage and family! He is also reading the bible everyday! I never thought this possible. All he wants is forgiveness now. I am still praying for help with our just debts to start fresh but with wisdom this time. I am also praying for a job singing or a contract and finally for my husband to get through the legal trouble that this affair has caused him. (Forgive this!) He is in jail for this and I pray he comes home. He has always had a perfect record and an excellent family and a great education. Please help us St. Jude and God.

Dear Father Michael,

As a nurse working in a hospital one has a variety of responsibilities and duties regarding patients.  But this is a case where I was going to be the patient but, thanks to St. Jude, I was not!

Briefly, I needed major back surgery because of lifting patients for many years.  I was depressed thinking about the surgery.  The radiologist showed me my x-rays and where the problems were.

I really needed a miracle, and fast, because I could not financially afford to lose any time from work.  Thanks to St. Jude I got my miracle - a 100% total cure - after only HALFWAY through the Novena to St. Jude!

By the way, the radiologist could simply not understand what had happened when he showed me the new x-rays of my back!  He kept shaking his head in disbelief as he held one of the old x-rays, which showed I needed major surgery on my back, next to one of the new x-rays which showed my entire back was 100% normal!  The new x-rays proved that no surgery of any kind would be necessary!

I am publicly thanking Saint Jude for answering three different Novena intentions so quickly!

I had asked St. Jude for the money I needed to purchase a very special, very inspiring, picture of Christ which I had wanted for many years, but never had the money to afford it. I ended up by being able to borrow the full amount of money I needed to get this extra-special picture of Christ. This all happened during my first Novena to Saint Jude. But then, Saint Jude gave me a totally unexpected "bonus", as Father Michael calls it!

During the middle of my second Novena to Saint Jude, which was for another intention, the person from whom I had borrowed the money for the special picture of Christ called me and cancelled my loan-in other words, because she had just received a large amount of money concerning a business transaction, as a way of her thanking Saint Jude for answering one of her Novena intentions for which the good Fathers at Saint Jude Shrine were also praying, I did not have to repay my loan to her!

Finally, my very much used and worn-out computer, which was no longer working properly, needed to be replaced. I arrived early for Sunday Mass at the Shrine of Saint Jude so that I could personally hand to Father my third Novena to Saint Jude. My intention regarding this third Novena was for a better computer; I was just so frustrated with that old computer which caused me all kinds of problems. The very next day, as I was helping Father with some errands, I stopped by a store to take care of some of my own personal business. Father happened to see an ad which had been posted to a bulletin board. A couple had a computer for sale. Father was so kind as to help me check it out. It was only about a year and a half old-well taken care of. The selling price was very reasonable. But I had no money for it. Father, poor as always, had no money either which he could loan me. That night I had a birthday party to attend for two of my grandchildren. I was able to borrow the full amount of money I needed from a relative and the next day-Tuesday-I had my almost brand-new computer, just three days into my 9-day Novena to Saint Jude! Since then I have received some money with which to pay off that loan in full!!!

I went to see my regualr physician who was concerned regardig a polyp that was on my cervix. He also stated that my uterus was enlarged. At that time, he performed a pap smear and ordered me to have a pelvic sonogram. I was very depressed when I left with the news. When I returned in a week, he stated that I had an abnormal pap smear and my sonogram showed some abnormal size and fibroids. He stated that he wanted me to see a specialist because of my polyp and abnormal pap smear. I have prayed to St. Jude for intercessions before but I was especially intense at this time since he had indicated a possible of cancer. I was not able to get in to the specialist until two weeks ago. He at that time, took a biopsy of the polyp because it looked different. On Thursday of the following week, the specialist left a message and stated that no carcinoma was seen and the polyp was benign and to return in four months for a follow-up. I was so relieved and so thankful that I started crying. I want to thank St. Jude for his intercessions. Thank you again.

Thanks be to Almighty God, Our Blessed Mother and St. Jude for all of their help this past year! I had lots of debts and other financial problems, some of them involving civil court cases. But everything has worked out not just well, but VERY well!

Saint Jude has been helping not only me but many members of my family for many years! Novenas to Saint Jude have become a way of life for us and, as a result, our way of life has greatly improved!

Some years ago when my wife had a burst appendix and it took many, many hours before the doctors could determine what the problem was, I just kept saying my Rosary to Our Blessed Mother and praying to St. Jude.. I remember she told me as I rushed her to the emergency room that she felt that she was dying! After emergency surgery around midnight, and after she survived that ordeal, she was taken up to her room. Later that day she was up walking around! The doctors and nurses knew how severe her situation had been and how close to death she had been just a few hours before that! They could not understand how she had recouperated so fast! Besides receiving the Last Rites, because of her critical condition, which obviously helped her, all of the rosaries and prayers to St. Jude I feel clearly helped greatly in this "miracle" as well!

I was in need of a chair with good lower-back-support. I found a very-well made chair which far exceeded what I had been looking for! Not only was the seat and back leather-covered, but I was able to get it at about half-price! In order to get it for this price, I needed a special coupon and, after digging through piles and piles of coupons, someone was able to find just what I needed! I got two miracles; the first was the special price and the second was one of the store-personnel actually taking the time to look for a coupon which took some time to find because it was the last coupon left!

Dear Father Michael,

Ever since my bankruptcy, I have been wanting to re-establish my credit.  It seemed logical and prudent that one way to do this would be to get a credit card, buy a few inexpensive items, and make payments on a timely basis.  At first I contacted my local bank for a secured credit card where I would put a certain amount of money into a savings account which amount would then be "frozen" and used as collateral for the credit card which would have a limit of whatever the balance would be in my "frozen" savings account.  After applying to my bank, I was very upset to learn that I was turned down.

To make a long story short, after including this intention in one of my Novenas to Saint Jude which you were so kind to say for me, I just recently applied elsewhere and was approved!  Plus, I did not even need to open a savings account for collateral!  Plus! Plus!  The credit line is double what I had hoped I could get!!!
