Special Remembrance for the Poor, Suffering Souls In Purgatory
In the Three Masses Offered  On All Soul's Day, November 2

Dear Visitors:

For those of you who may wonder why All Soul's Day is such a big deal in the Roman Catholic Church, here are two reasons.  For more reasons, including the Old and New Testament Scriptures, etc., this link will provide you with many more reasons, including even some very personal experiences:  http://www.shrineofsaintjude.net/home1601.html

Infallible Dogmatic Reason

The faith of the Church concerning Purgatory is clearly expressed in the Decree of Union drawn up by the Roman Catholic Council of Florence (Mansi, t. XXXI, col. 1031), and in the Decree of the Roman Catholic Council of Trent which Infallibly Teaches:

"Whereas the Catholic Church, instructed by the Holy Ghost, has... taught... that there is a Purgatory, and that the souls there detained are helped by the suffrages of the Faithful, but principally by the acceptable Sacrifice of the Altar [i.e., by the Holy Mass]..." (Roman Catholic Council of Trent, Unchangeable Infallible Dogmatic Decree Concerning Purgatory, Session 25, Wednesday, December 4, 1563; emphasis added.)

A True Story To Prayerfully Ponder

“Two Religious, of eminent virtue, vied with each other in leading a holy life. One of them fell sick, and learned in a vision that he should soon die, that he should be saved, and that he should remain in Purgatory only until the first Mass should be celebrated for the repose of his Soul. Full of joy at these tidings, he hastened to impart them to his friend, and entreated him not to delay the celebration of the Mass which was to open Heaven to him.”

“He died the following morning, and his holy companion lost no time in celebrating the Holy Sacrifice [of the Mass]. After Mass, whilst he was making his thanksgiving, and still continuing to pray for his departed friend, the latter appeared to him radiant with glory, but in a tone sweetly plaintive he asked why that one Mass, of which he stood in need. had been so long delayed. ‘My blessed brother,’ replied the Religious, ‘I delayed so long, you say? I do not understand you.’  ‘What! Did you not leave me to suffer for more than a year before offering Mass for the repose of my soul.’  ‘Indeed, my dear brother, I commenced Mass immediately after your death; not a quarter of an hour [15 minutes] had elapsed.’ Then, regarding him with emotion, the blessed Soul cried out: ‘How terrible are those expiatory pains, since they have caused me to mistake minutes for a year. Serve God, my dear brother, with an exact fidelity, in order that you may avoid those chastisements. Farewell.’”  (Rev. F. X. Schouppe, S.J., Nihil Obstat, H. M. Bayley, Censor Deputatus.  Imprimatur, Herbertus Cardinal Vaughan, Archiepiscopus Westmonasterien. October 11, 1893. “The Dogma of Purgatory, The Mystery of Justice,”  page 49; emphasis added.)

Bottom line:

15 minutes of earth time is like 1 full year of 365 days, or 525,600 minutes in Purgatory!
One hour of earth time is like 4 full years of 1,460 days, or 2,102,400 minutes in Purgatory!
One 24 hour day of earth time is like 96 full years of 140,160 days in Purgatory!
One 7 day week of earth time is like 672 full years of 94,187,520 days in Purgatory!

The Souls in Purgatory Really Need You to Have Holy Masses Offered for Them

Special Remembrance for the Poor, Suffering Souls In Purgatory
In the Three Masses Offered  On All Soul's Day, November 2

Dear Visitors:

The large increase in the volume of Visitors to this web site is because many Catholics want to know how Our Lady of Fatima protected the famous 4 Jesuit Priests who survived the atomic bomb explosion in Hiroshima, Japan during WWII.  Therefore, it may take a few seconds longer than usual for you to access the web pages in which you are interested. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

God Bless You!
Father Michael

Pope Benedict XVI

Dear Pope Benedict XVI:

I respectfully extend a most warm welcome to Your Holiness for your frequent visits, of over many years, to this web site devoted to the Holy Apostle, Saint Jude Thaddeus!

A Most Humble and Grateful Welcome, Your Holiness!  I hope that your visits to these web pages have been helpful to you, both personally, and especially in regard to your Apostolic Office, as, for example, your quoting from my Sunday Sermons on the Spiritual Life, which I posted weekly on the Sunday Sermon web pages which were actual Sermons I had preached on the Spiritual Life to the Parishioners who attended my Sunday Masses over the years.

I remember reading the several paragraphs you usually directly quoted from my various Sunday Sermons in your Wednesday talks to the Pilgrims to the Vatican, when you spoke to them after Praying the Angelus.

I also remember there was a delay of about 3 weeks between the time I posted each new Spiritual Sunday Sermon on its respective web page on this Shrine of Saint Jude web site and your talk during your Wednesday Papal Audience for the Pilgrims to the Vatican.

Of course, you used your own personal beginning and ending, but you quoted usually between two to four paragraphs, depending on their length, from my Sermons. I am happy you found my Sermons to be helpful for you.

Thank you so very much for visiting this Shrine of Saint Jude web site.  Please continue to visit us at your good pleasure.  I apologize for failing to thank you sooner for your many visits!  Mea Culpa!  Mea Culpa!

God Bless You.   Pax Domini sit semper vobiscum.

Testimonial of the Month to Saint Jude
Father Michael:

I was desperate, because my situation was desperate. What is this "desperate"? I was down to only one can of food and a coupon for a free sandwich. You know me and you know I do not lie and I do not exaggerate.

You had made some Saint Jude Novenas for me some time ago, and then just very recently. In all cases, Saint Jude really earned his accolade as the patron saint of the impossible. Earlier today, I finally got the phone call I had waited to get for several weeks! Now everything has turned around with that money in my bank account that I had been told I could not get.

So tonight I get to not only get groceries, but next week I can actually pay off, down to zero balance, all my credit cards, plus take care of other pressing issues like I can forget the utilities warning of shutting off my electric, gas, phone next week.

Now I can get back on my feet and now my business will be able to prosper once more as it did two years ago when things were really booming for me. I am on the fast track to recovery!

I dare not forget Saint Jude, so enclosed is my stipend of thanksgiving for my requested novenas of thanks to Saint Jude.  Thank you God, Thank you Saint Jude, and Thank you, Father Michael for making the novenas for me. They worked for me, like they did in the past. Hope this gives others the confidence they need in Saint Jude and your really good work.

P.S. I have now kept my promise of several weeks ago to Saint Jude to send you this Testimonial after my Novena intention was granted. Father, please be sure to publicly publish this right away because Saint Jude worked very, very hard for me with God in my really very desperate circumstances. Also, please publish this so I can get credit for it from God and Saint Jude. Saint Jude is really awesome! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks again!

Catholic Missionaries who contact us really need your help.
This photo is only one of many examples.
This Missionary is in the white Cassock.
He is trying to help over 450 very poor Children.

Please help us to also help other Catholic Missionaries
Some of Whom Need ALL of Your Pre-Vatican 2 Items.

Catholic Missionaries really need help, especially from those of you who are in charge of disposing of everything from those churches and/or chapels which are being closed down.

Please do not take anything to the dump!
Please send everything. ***.to us so we can give them to those in need!

Please do NOT send anything porcelain or made of any ceramic material.  Even when bubble - wrapped, such things  always arrive broken in many, many pieces.

Also, please do NOT send anything which is already broken.  We do not have any extra money to have it repaired.

Please DO NOT SEND us:  prayer cards, pictures (unframed), various types of printed literature which so many religious organizations send out it seems by the millions and millions, and such-like, because we have a huge oversupply of such items and no Missionary is even requesting any of them.  Thank you for your understanding.

All Crucifixes, as well as all plaster statues, always need to be bubble-wrapped and the head, neck, hands, and other extremities always need to be double-bubble wrapped.

Thank You for Your Charity!  God Bless You!
