Dear Friends of the Shrine of Saint Jude,

Everyone needs "our daily bread" of which we pray in the Our Father. But in today's society, just as has been the case for almost 2,000 years, most Catholics find that it is almost impossible to physically go to Daily Mass and to receive Holy Communion, the Bread of Life.

But the Mass is not limited to receiving "our daily bread". It also gives those who are physically present an opportunity to adore God, to thank God for His many Blessings and Favors in their lives, and to ask God for what they need, not only in their Spiritual Lives, but in all areas of their lives.

Down through the ages, it became the custom for Catholics to give Priests what is called a "Stipend" to offer Masses for their intentions, i.e. not only for those things they need in their lives, but also in thanksgiving for the Blessings and Favors God had given them.

This Testimonials Web Page is for those of you who want to publicly praise, thank, and glorify God Who granted your Mass Intentions in the Masses offered for you here at the Shrine of Saint Jude, which exists not only in "Web Space", but physically in the real world as well.

Testimonials for Mass Intentions Granted

Thank you also for beginning a "Testimonials" web page for the Mass, because, just as prayers change things, so also does a Mass!

I expect to be sending you more testimonials.

Dear Friends of the Shrine of Saint Jude,

I remember many different testimonials I have received over the years as the result of Masses I have offered for many people, long before the days of computers, let alone the Internet.

Of the many testimonials, I have always remembered one testimonial because it was so different.

One Lady told me how her Mass intention was granted within less than 30 minutes! But what makes this testimonial even more unique is that her Mass intention was granted on just the basis of her promise to God to send me a Stipend for her Mass intention! Of course, she always kept her promise to send me the Stipend because she knew that otherwise God would take away that which He had given her if she was to break her promise to Him. This was truly a very unique case, and the only one of its kind that I remember, except that she told me she had several other experiences just like this one!

I also remember another testimonial in which a young teenager, who became caught underwater in a large swimming pool in some kind of a suction system, and whom several adult rescue workers were unable to free for about 10 or 15 minutes, not only survived, but just recently had a CAT scan which showed no damage at all to any of his internal organs, including his brain! This accident happened in a popular tourist resort outside of the U.S. I was called by phone to offer a Mass for him within about an hour after this accident first happened. I offered a total of 4 Masses for him over a 4 day time period.

Another accident life or death situation involved an adult man who, while on the slopes of a popular U.S. ski resort, hit a tree. His Son went for help. He ended up in a local hospital near the ski resort and was expected to die due to his severe injuries, including severe brain damage.

His future Wife called me on her way to the airport to fly to where he was. In her great grief she asked if I could offer a Mass for him so that he would live. I did and, despite the fact that all of the Doctors told his future Wife that he would die, he lived.

Some time later, I had the great joy of Baptizing him a Catholic! During the first Exorcism, as found in the Rituale Romanum for the administration of Adult Baptism, he exclaimed: "It is gone!" I asked him what was gone. He replied that it was the terrible pain he had had in his head since his horrible accident! Thus, the power of the Mass, and of the Sacraments!

There are many other stories, each one is unique in its own way. But I leave the space below for each of you to fill in with your own testimonials of how the Mass or Masses I have offered for you in the past here at the Shrine of Saint Jude have helped you and how your intentions were granted.

Because this is a brand-new Web Page, and because it will take a little time for you to become aware of this service, I humbly and respectfully add my own personal thanks and gratitude, not only for granting so many of my own personal intentions in the Masses I have offered over so many, many years, but also for all of the intentions which the good God has granted to all of those who sent me their Mass Stipends to offer Masses for their various intentions.

Thank you God, and also all of the Holy Angels and Saints, plus, the Poor, Suffering Souls in Purgatory, in whose honor, according to the Liturgical Calendar and the rubrics, I have offered all of these Masses!
