The Seven Sorrows of
The Blessed Virgin Mary

mm

Our Lady of Sorrows

What are the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary?

1. The prophecy of Simeon of the Seven Swords of Sorrow.

2. The flight of the Holy Family into Egypt.

3. Loss of the Child Jesus.
Found 3 days later in the temple.

4. Meeting her Divine Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ,
carrying His heavy Cross on His way to Calvary
to be Crucified for our Redemption.

5. At the foot of the Cross of her crucified Son.

6. Receiving the dead Body of her Divine Son
into her loving and tender arms.

7. The Burial of her Dearly Beloved Son, Jesus.

HOPE

“Rejoicing in Hope.  Patient in tribulation.  Instant in prayer” (Romans 12:12).

“Now the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing; that you may abound in Hope, and in the power of the Holy Ghost”  (Romans 15:13).

“Charity is patient, is kind: Charity...beareth all things, Believeth all things, Hopeth all things, endureth all things” (1 Corinthians 13:4, 7).

“Now Faith is the substance of things to be Hoped for, the evidence of things that appear not” (Hebrews 11:1).
